Author Visit

Dan, thanks so much for giving your valuable time to visit our school. We so appreciate your expertise.”  *Barb Schneider*Reading Specialist Alto Elementary

It is one of the great pleasures of my profession to visit schools and libraries in Michigan and throughout the country. If you are associated with a school or library and are interested in arranging one of my presentations, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with my manager Cheyenne at cheyennedoyle@yahoo.com.

The Q&A time can be great fun if the students are prepared for it ahead of time by their teachers.

I offer 45minute segments. Currently, my fees are:
45min presentations: $200 for local schools in Grand rapids and for non-local schools there is a fee of $450

If you have special needs or would like to discuss other topic options specific to what your students are learning,
please contact my manager and we’ll see what we can arrange.

Presentations include:  Bringing many different animal skins (black bear, skunk, otter, coyote..etc), old traps, a mounted beaver, sugar gliders, and books to buy.

Schools frequently offer book sales to help offset the author’s fees.
I sell my own books, but they can also be ordered throughhttps://www.createspace.com/3471765 or amazon.com. If you need assistance setting this up,
please give me plenty of advance notice so we can address it.
If signing will be part of my visit, I request that time be set aside during the day when I can personally interact with each child while signing their book.
This is a highlight of the author visit for me and for the students as well.

I like to tailor my programs to fit the specific needs of the school as much as possible. Please tell me what you want and I will do my best to accommodate you!
I always include audience participation, a reading of a few chapters in my book. I also offer insider insight into the “life of an author”, and the writing process. My goal is to excite students about reading, writing, and the adventure of the outdoors!
